For students
Their own study coach for every subject: a photo of the exercise, explanations in small steps, a test planner that takes their timetable into account, and the focus timer. In English too.
StudySlim for schools
Every student their own study coach
Students work it out themselves, step by step, in every subject and at ten in the evening too. Mentors see who is stuck. And when a student is not doing well, there is a safety net.
What it does
For mentors
Per class: who is active, how many minutes and questions, upcoming tests, results and signs that things are not going well. Never the content of conversations: students need to feel free to ask anything.
Wellbeing
In "Just talk" students can get things off their chest. StudySlim is honest about it: not a therapist, but someone who listens and points the way to real help. With serious concerns, the care coordinator gets a heads-up.
Privacy and safety
- In line with the GDPR, with a data processing agreement with the school.
- Data is stored in the European Union.
- Mentors and administrators do not read conversations.
- A moderated community: photos are checked in advance, minors get extra protection.
- Safety signals (self-harm, violence, abuse, extremism) go to the care coordinator if you want that. With a minimal excerpt and an audit log.
- Consent for students under 16 can be covered by the agreement with the school.

Frequently asked questions
- Can students cheat with this?
- StudySlim does not hand out answers. It helps a student take the next step themselves and checks whether they really understand.
- What exactly do mentors see?
- Numbers per student: active or not, minutes, questions, upcoming tests, results and signs that things are not going well. No chats, no questions, no answers.
- How does the safety net work?
- Messages are checked automatically for serious risks. If there is a signal, a StudySlim safety officer takes a look, and the care coordinator gets a heads-up if you agree on that. The student is not confronted with this in the middle of the conversation; it is clearly stated in the privacy policy.
- Why no fixed price for the whole school?
- You pay for the students who take part. That way you do not pay for empty places, and the quality stays the same for everyone.
- Does it work for vocational schools, universities and in Belgium too?
- Yes. From secondary school to university, in the Netherlands and Belgium, in Dutch and English.
